FAQ

Admission
  • Students can register at Delhi Public School, Haldwani by filling a registration form which is available for Rs.1500/ in School. The form is required to be submitted within 7 days of registration.
  • Students would be granted admission to Classes 5,6,7,8,9 and 11 only after clearing a written admission test which will be scheduled by the school.
  • After completion of the academic session of the previous school, the parents should submit the Transfer Certificate and Report Card at the earliest.
  • It is advisable to have the medical form signed by a government doctor.
  • Pre Nursery: 2-3 years
  • Nursery : 3 years - 4 years
  • KG : 4 years - 5 years


Faculty
  • The teachers are being appointed by the panel of Delhi Public School Society from all over India, strictly as per the guidelines.
  • Yes, parents can meet teachers on the Orientation.


Curriculum
  • Delhi Public School, Haldwani would follow the curriculum which is age appropriate and has the uniqueness to meet all ability levels.
  • From Academic session 2021-22 the school is a senior Secondary School.
  • The teacher student ratio for Class Pre Nursery to KG is 1:30.
  • The teacher student ratio for Class I to XI is 1:40.
  • Yes we offer coaching to class VIII onward students. We have tie up with Vidya Mandir Classes.
  • For the students of Pre Nursery to class II there is a system of Informal assessment on quarterly basis.
  • For classes III-X it is as per CBSE.
  • No, we don't have scholarship policy.


Fee
  • Meritorious Students obtaining 90% and above in the admission assessment(class VI-XI) are eligible for 50% waiver on the admission fee.
  • Students who have won 1st,2nd or 3rd positions in the District, State or National levels in any sport or co-curricular activity (non-academic) are eligible for 50% waiver on the admission fee.(First 50 to complete the admission procedure)
  • For real siblings, 50% admission fee will be waived off on the second child.
  • For the children of Defense, Police and Paramilitary Personnel, 25% admission fee will be waived off.(Max. 50 seats available, first 50 to complete the admission procedure)(Identification document to be submitted for verification)
  • For single girl child. 25% admission fee will be waived off (First 50 to complete admission procedure)Affidavit required to complete the process.
  • For children currently studying in an authorized Delhi Public School, an assured admission will be granted and 25% admission fee will be waived off.
  • For the children of Delhi Public School alumnus, 25% admission fee will be waived off.(Max. 50 seats available, first 50 to complete the admission procedure)
  • For Classes IX & XI CBSE Registration charges will be paid by parents separately, as applicable.
  • No, the annual fee is exclusive of stationery and uniform expenses. Stationery and uniform expenses are to be paid by parents as applicable to the vendors. Of the authorized vendors parent will be at liberty to purchase from one of their choice.
  • The first installment to be paid before March 31st of the year.
  • The tuition fee and the transport fee has to be paid separately.
  • Fees can be deposited at any of the K.N.S.B (Kurmanchal nagar sahkari bank) and ICICI bank branches in Haldwani(Online payment can also be accepted).
  • Demand Draft can be made from any bank.
  • The fee for siblings needs to be paid separately.
  • As per the guidelines and approval of Managing Committee.
  • Fees once paid is non refundable for all heads.
  • Please refer to the prospectus for the same.
  • There is No tuition fee waiver for sibling cases.


Transport
  • Yes, the school has smaller buses for kids till Pre Primary.
  • The school is at a 500 meter distance from the highway.
  • The bus would collect students from the region /area as far as it is serviceable.We shall work towards ensuring maximum convenience for the child and parent.
  • School will be looking at the best possible route wherein the child will spend the minimum of time in the bus. However, keeping the traffic scene in mind we have fully AC buses so that the children are not in any discomfort.
  • Kindly mention your residential address in the Transport form. The school would try its best to provide the bus facility as per the routes & stops defined by school.
  • A female attendant would be in all buses.


Safety
  • We have 5 acres of green reserved area surrounding the school to cut the pollution from the nearby areas and provide a safe environment for our students.
  • We will be monitoring all student movement within the school campus via staff and CCTV All entry and exit points of the school will be manned no entry and exit will be permitted without authorization/identification.


Activities
  • Students from class III onward can start learning swimming in the main pool and for Pre Primary to II we have the mini pool.
  • Please refer to the prospectus for the activities the school will have.
  • The students are made to play games of their choice under the constant monitoring and guidance of the coaches.

Common FAQs
  • The assembly will be level/sector wise but once a week the whole school will have a general assembly and will be together for special assemblies.
  • This is an independent decision of every DPS however we have provisions for granting admission to students of DPS from outside Haldwani. However, DPS to DPS transfer are relatively easy though, would be governed as per vacancy available.
  • Currently the school is having day boarding facility. However, we shall work on hostel in the coming year.
  • Yes, parent will have to carry the card for entry in school campus or at any time for verification purpose. It will be issued by school authorities along with the student identity card.
